Transformative Mediation This workshop emphasized the development of practical skills to resolve interpersonal conflict and to facilitate mediation. The workshop explores skills and develops strategies that enhance effective communication and are essential when facilitating conflict resolution. Role-theory and practice are an essential part of the training; coaches assist with the role-plays. Workshop topics covered include conflict management styles, empathetic listening, expressing oneself, analysis of conflict, preparing people for mediation, transformative mediation, variations on the mediation process, and dealing with challenging situations.

Conrad Grebel University College has the longest standing Peace and Conflict Studies program in Canada. The Certificate Program is desgined to provide practical and relevent skills training in conflict management.
