Persons Who Have Offended Sexually PDF Print E-mail

The services for people who have offended sexually include:

  • Education groups providing information about sexual abuse, sexual offending and the healing process,
  • Peer Support Groups to support people who have offended in creating relapse prevention strategies, understand victim impact and develop positive coping strategies for the future,  These groups run in 7 week cycles from Sept. to June annually in Kitchener and Cambridge.
  • Summer drop - in groups for persons who have offended sexually July and Aug dates/times to be announced.
  • Facilitated Dialogues to provide opportunity to engage in meaning conversations with people affected by choices which have harmed.
  • Psycho - Educational groups for Partners of persons who have offended sexually-Sept. 14 - Nov. 16, 2011 Wed evenings 7-9 pm.
  • 10 week pilot group for persons who have an intellectual dissability and who have committed a sexual offence. Mar 2 - May 4, 2011 Wed evenings 6:30 - 8:30 pm. Participants are responsible for their own transportation.  Personal Support Workers are encouraged to participate in 3 introductory sessions the first 3 nights of this group and to assist with homework each week.

Participation in any of the services offered requires a completed intake appointment.
