There are many opportunities for you to become involved with CJI:
- Mediate conflict situations involving families, groups, neighbours, employees, etc.
- Facilitate groups for people who have survived sexual abuse or people who have offended sexually
- Volunteer with the weekly Stride Night reintegration skills/recreation program at Grand Valley Institution (prison) for Women
- To participate in a reintegration support Circle for a woman re-entering the community from prison
- Assist with the weekly recreation program at Grand Valley Insitution for Women
- Present a workshop
- Assist with fundraising
- Serve on a committee
- Provide office assistance
BOARD OF DIRECTORS - APPLICATION
Join the Board of Directors of Community Justice Initiatives as a volunteer board member. Contribute to committee work in the areas of finance, fund development, building community relations or performance management. Evaluate strategic plans, manage risk, build organizational capacity and approve policies. Experience in board governance, working in a confidential environment and expertise in finance, fundraising, organizational development, corporate law or restorative justice are all assets.
