Pioneers of Peace
Sexual Offending & Restoration The purpose of this book is to provide first person accounts from three men who have sexually offended. Rarely are such revealing glimpses provided into how and why, from their vantage point, they responded or reacted as they did.The explanations are careful to avoid rationalizing past behavior but seek to rather recount how they were thinking at the time of their offending behavior. Their ability to be honest and direct about very personal and sensitive issues is a tribute to their commitment to their healing journeys. The hope of the writers is their sharing will assist others, abuse survivors and those who have offended, to find their way toward a healing journey.
Three Paths to Healing
Dorie's Secret
The first documented case in Canada where the legal system became involved in Restorative Justice. This story is one of personal awareness, growth and redemption. It takes you on a journey and describes how a young boy turned to substance abuse to numb his emotional pain after the untimely death of his parents. It tells how he managed to conquer his addictions and turn his life around. It is amazing how his life has come full circle, and changed…for the better. It also tells how he made mistakes, but held himself accountable for his actions and accepted responsibility for what he had done.
